The Great Gatsby Chapter 3 Analysis

In chapter three, Nick is invited to Mr. Gatsby's house for a party. Nick decides to show up and runs into Ms. Baker who accompanies him throughout the party. Everyone is gossiping about how Gatsby killed a man once and he graduated from Oxford. Most of the people at the party have never met him personally and half of them don't know what he looks like. Ms. Baker and Nick make friends at a table who tell lavish stories about their expeiriences with Gatsby. Later on Mr. Gatsby calls to meet privately with Ms. Baker. At the end of the night Mr. Gatsby ask Nick to go on an outing with him and be more aquainted. As Ms. Baker and Nick are heading home, they find people who crashed into a ditch.
