Literature Analysis #2

New Moon: The second book of the Twilight saga.
GENERAL:
1) For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is even more dangerous than Bella ever could have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of one evil vampire, but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realize their troubles may be just beginning.
2) The theme of the novel is that no matter what happens in life, it is worth fighting for something you really care about.
3) The authors tone towards the book is indescribable. The way she writes characters and how they interact with each other tells you how she cleary put thought in what she was writing. She showed a lot of passion.

CHARACTERIZATION:
1) The author uses both indirect and direct characterization, to help you get a better understanding of who and how a character is. My lasting impression on a character was very clear and I could make my judgement easily.
2) The author's syntax and diction changes constantly as she changes from one character to the next. At times she will have a character talk nicely to a person they like and then totally different to a person they don't like.
3) The protagonist is somewhat dynamic and round. Bella can be very stubborn, but later on she realizes what is best and does the right thing.
4) After reading the book, I feel as though I know Isabella Swan completely. I know all of her thoughts and secrets and how she would answer things. Just lke a best friend, when you hang out with them for a long time, you get to know all about them.
