Spring Vocabulary #6

1. Chronic: On going
My best friend has chronic hiccups.
2. Sentiment: Feeling
He had a sense of sentiment when he was telling his story.

3. Morality: The qualtiy of being moral
Because of a lack of morality, society has become weak and embarrasing.

4. Remorse: Bitter regret or guilt for past misdeeds.
She had no remorse from the actions she took as a child.

5. Defect: Lack of something necessary or desirable.
Salley has a defect in her brain.

6. Acquaintance: A person known, usually not a close one.
I made an aquaintance in the bookstore today.

7. Sanity: Heathful mental state.
All of her sanity dissapeared along with her friends.

8. Implication: The conclusion that can be drawn from something.
The implication was stated at the end of the hearing.

9. Alternative: A choice between two or more possibilities.
Her alternative to dancing was sitting down.

10. Savage: Not domesticated or cultivated; wild.
Most animals in the wild are savage creatures.

11. Phenomenon: An occurence or fact that can be perceived by the senses.
She had a sudden phenomenon when talking to her son.
