March Literature Analysis

Twilight: Eclipse (The Third Book)
General:
1) As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob- knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. But which is which?
2) The theme of the novel is that friends can help you through any decision, but you will only be content with the decision you make in the end.
3) The authors tone toward the book is passionate and intense. She loves to draw people in with all the excitement and keep them there with the characters she uses.
4) The author uses many different litterary elements when writing the book. She uses a myraid amount of imagery when she is trying to get you to picture things. She also uses direct and indirect characterization to give you a feel of how a character is really like from appearance and inward conflict.
Characterization:
1) The author uses the different forms of characterization to give the readers an accurate feel of how the character really act and who they truly are. Sometimes they are what they seem to be and other times they have been living a lie their whole life.
2) The authors syntax and diction changes as she changes through different characters. At times she will use soothing words that make you feel comfortable and then she uses harsh, strong vocabulary to show how some words just don't capture the meaning she is going for.
3) The protagonist is completely static and always changing. Bella is always changing her mind and actions on things. She is round, where in the beginning of the book she starts off a certain way and in the end she learns several new things and becomes wiser.
4)I feel as I read the book I was able to learn about someone cempletely new and interesting. The author made you feel right in the book along with everyone and no one will change the way I feel about this book.
